Military dad surprises his son at school after returning from deployment

Following a 10-month deployment with the Army, a Virginia Beach dad decided to surprise his son at school when he returned home.

The expression on his son’s face as walks towards him in the school’s cafeteria is priceless. When they embrace, 7-year-old Liam is overcome with emotion and hugs his father as if he is never letting go.

According to USA Today, the heartwarming moment was caught on camera by Liam’s stepmom. It was Liam’s mom who was sitting across from him at the table, as she is a teacher at the school.

“Co-parenting is very important to me, and I love that we can all get along and put Liam first,” the stepmother is quoted saying.

Needless to say, this will be a day that none of them forget.
