Wild scenes out of Los Angeles Costco over Pokémon cards

Images of Costco shoppers aggressively going for Pokémon card sets.

As many parents know, Pokémon cards are very popular with kids. They collect, trade and ultimately covet the darn things. However, some adults are also obsessed with them as well.

For adults, there’s also a monetary consideration. The cards in question at the Costco incident sell online for up to $200 and Costco was selling them for $60, which led to the chaos at the store.

In images and video posted to social media, the crazed card enthusiasts were seen fighting over the “151 Blooming Waters Premium Collection.”

We’re not going to post the videos of the incident here due to their violent nature, but you can see one posted on X by @disguisedtoast here.

Here’s another clip showing just how wild people are going over these cards at another Costco.

For kids however, it can be a fun activity – as long as it doesn’t become an obsession.
